Our Story

CISNET was founded in Mississauga, Ontario in 2015 by Mani Poopal, a CCIE-certified network engineer with more than two decades of enterprise networking experience, including years as a senior network architect. Teaching CCNA candidates on evenings and weekends, he kept seeing the same gap: enterprise-grade certification training existed, but only at enterprise-grade prices, and the affordable alternatives were pre-recorded videos with nobody to answer a question.

CISNET was built around the opposite model: small live classes, taught in real time by instructors who hold the certifications they teach, with hands-on labs in every course. What started as a single CCNA classroom grew into a full catalogue: Cisco routing and switching, CompTIA, AWS, CISSP, and PMP, taught by a small team of practitioners rather than a roster of contract presenters.

Since 2015, we've trained over 6,400 students across Canada and the United States, with a 90%+ first-attempt pass rate. Class sizes stay capped so every student can ask questions, labs use the same tools you'll see on the job (Packet Tracer, GNS3, real AWS environments), and if you don't pass your exam, you can retake the course at no charge. The savings from keeping overhead low (no downtown campus, no sales team) go directly into pricing.

Who Teaches at CISNET

Every CISNET course is taught by an instructor who holds the certification, and works (or has worked) in the field it covers. Mani leads the Cisco networking track; the CompTIA, project management, and cloud/security tracks are each owned by a dedicated instructor with 12-18 years of industry experience.
